Our Programs

Whether it’s our Create It Kids Club after-school program, our evening classes, or our Create It Kids summer camp, young students will find a unique opportunity to enhance performance and life skills through the use of their imagination and creativity.

Students As Storytellers

This program is designed to:

  •  Build confidence and positive self-esteem;
  •  Help the participants manage their emotions through positive redirection;
  •  Establish effective communication skills;
  •  Give the kids strategies to handle and resolve conflict;
  •  Encourage creativity and imagination;
  •  Show the importance of working together through teamwork;
  •  Demonstrate the positive effects of collaborative planning;
  •  Better personal and social skills;
  •  Open the doors to new possibilities and opportunities.

Focus Areas

The Students As Storyteller program consists of ten focus areas. The students will participate in discussions, individual and group activities, assignments and personal reflections of each area. Each area builds upon the previous component that will eventually lead to the final competition that will be created and conducted by the students.

Students will have the opportunity to perform in various community events on a monthly basis giving them the edge they need to perfect their presentation skills.

Summer Camp

Our “Students As Storytellers” summer program is designed to teach children, ages 4-14, how to become successful performers in life through the art of storytelling. An eight week-program, children attend each weekday to create their own production through interactive stories and games. During the camp, students produce eight different performances, building an entirely new production each week.
